A unique opportunity to take the leading role in driving the fundraising strategy at AllChild as we seek to fulfil our vision of hope, one in which every child or young person, no matter their social, emotional, or academic challenges, has a chance to flourish in their school and community.
We have big ambitions for the next 10 years at AllChild. We are driven to do our part to help create long-term change by working with and within local communities and new regions and ultimately model a blueprint for national change. Our new Development Director will work in direct partnership with our Chief Executive to help us achieve this ambition. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in our fundraising strategy and help drive our vision forward, which is to co-design and deliver opportunities that help every child and young person to flourish.
The role
As a member of the Executive team, you will help to formulate, develop, and deliver our social impact strategy and take the lead in developing and delivering our income strategy as we grow from local to national in both scale and ambition. Working closely with the Executive team and the Board of Trustees and reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be accountable for all income generation and for relationship management of funding partnerships across the organisation, personally managing major donor relationships in partnership with the Chief Executive. You will also be the senior leader overseeing all external communications and marketing activity.
In this role, you will provide leadership and line management across the Fundraising and Marketing and Communications teams to build an income pipeline and national influence on a growing and sustainable basis. You will be a leading ambassador for AllChild's work, and you will be ambitious to achieve the income targets that will help us accelerate the delivery of our vision that, together, every child and young person can flourish.
About you
To be successful, you will be an experienced major donor fundraiser with a strong track record of developing teams to grow income in new and existing locations. You will have personal experience of leading campaigns and securing high-value donations from individuals and the ability to build deep and lasting relationships. An empathetic and skilled communicator, you will be capable of leading a Communications team for influence within and outside of an organisation, as well as an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to flex to changing circumstances. Like your colleagues on the Executive team, you will have a passion for our purpose, alignment with our values, and a commitment to driving forward the whole organisation in support of our 10-year ambition.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of three days per week in the office or attending donor meetings.
