Anderson Knight are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Assistant for our client in Ayr on an initial 6 month FTC. The role is likely to go permanent due to expansion and offers a salary of £26-27,000 per annum based on experience. This is an office-based position.
What you’ll be doing:
* Assisting with credit control including contacting customers, reviewing credit limits, maintaining new customer forms, reviewing aged debtor list, liaising with oversees customer service staff for overdue invoices, producing monthly statements, updating hold lists.
* Setting up new customer accounts and allocating credit limits.
* Updating sales ledger accounts with correct details.
* Resolving disputed invoices in a timely manner.
* Posting cashbook transactions.
* Depositing cheques weekly, taking responsibility for encouraging customer to pay by BACS.
* Answering telephone, redirecting calls.
* Distributing incoming mail and processing outgoing mail.
* Assisting visitors to the business.
About you:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy working environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages.
* Knowledge of SAGE and SAP systems would be beneficial however training will be provided.
* Relevant qualification desirable but not essential.
