This is a permanent part time position of 29.7 hours (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Thur.
An existing opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent Support Secretary within Diabetes and Endocrinology based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday.
The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to medical staff and specialist nurses within the Diabetes and Endocrinology service, and will also support with the MDT meetings associated with the service. It demands excellent organisational skills along with a high degree of knowledge and accuracy in both secretarial and administrative procedures.
You must have excellent communication skills, experience in dealing with the public, colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team. You must be able to concentrate on essential tasks despite frequent interruptions.
It is desirable for you to have a Business Management/Administration Qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills in medical administration. Reasonable knowledge of NHS systems is desirable and a working knowledge and understanding of the NHS Trakcare system. Essential skills required are the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, meet tight deadlines and have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft software applications
