Egg Farm Production Manager / Poultry Stockperson – Shropshire - £50,000 DOE + On-Site Accommodation + Bills Included
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Egg Farm Production Manager or Poultry Stockperson to join a leading agricultural business in Shropshire. Renowned for their high welfare standards and premium free-range egg production, this forward-thinking operation is seeking a motivated individual to help manage daily production and flock welfare.

This is a well-established and highly respected food and farming business, known nationally for its commitment to animal welfare, sustainability, and efficiency. The Role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of four free-range poultry sheds, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare are consistently met while working to maximise egg production. Key responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring bird health, behaviour, and housing conditions.
2. Managing daily routines to optimise productivity.
3. Overseeing essential practices such as biosecurity, hygiene, and vaccinations.
4. Supporting flock changeovers, including both depopulation and repopulation.
5. Maintaining accurate records and reporting directly to the senior management team.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a thorough understanding of poultry management, a strong sense of initiative, and a meticulous eye for detail. Leading a small, experienced team, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency while upholding welfare and production standards.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience working with poultry or livestock, especially in a production environment
- Solid understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare protocols
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused leadership style
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
The Package:
- Salary: £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
- On-site accommodation: A spacious 3-bedroom bungalow with most bills included (*electric and water not included)
- 40 hours per week, Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (7:15am – 4:00pm)
