What will you work on? The Key Account Manager is required to maximise opportunities, manage risk, deliver on profitability goals, develop effective long-term business relationships and exceed customer expectations, within their portfolio of accounts. How will you create impact? Develop bi-annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs Confidently deliver product presentations, business proposals and marketing plans to customers on time Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively Develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts using the tools that are available on a monthly basis as a minimum working to an accuracy of within 10% Work closely with the planning team to ensure stock & allocations are available and that the orderbook is well managed communicating with relevant stakeholders both internally & externally should any issues arise Continual review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary Diligently manage customer specific budgets ensuring investment is in line with commercial plans and all activity is logged & managed on SalesForce in a timely manner Analysis of sell through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk, action planning as needed Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges Have a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans by building and maintaining multi-level and cross functional relationships within your account portfolio Develop innovative sales and marketing led account plans with a laser focus on ROI that will maximise Spin Master’s performance within each account Co-ordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution and profit targets Maximise and be accountable for account profitability through strategic business planning including, delivery of volume, revenue and margin and creative promotional work and good use of data to provide category solutions Work closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on objectives for sales growth whilst managing each account selections process Negotiate to ensure Spin Master maximises the advantage of long term supply agreements and optimises all elements of the marketing mix to maximise visibility of our brands & products Actively work as part of a team to create a solution oriented culture. Act as primary point of contact for resolving challenges within your portfolio ensuring timely resolution & maintaining account satisfaction. Maintain and further develop the strong commercial and personal relationships between Spin Master and your account base and ensure Spin Master remains a preferred supplier Key Metrics Top line revenue Brand specific revenue Year on year growth objectives Promotional space & spend management Seasonal Listings & Distribution changes How will you fit into the team? The Key Account Manager reports to the Senior National Account Manager What are your skills and experience? Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role in the CPG or Toy industry preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related area – Knowledge in the Toy Market Demonstrated success managing a business portfolio with a national retailer Retail Experience either at store level or retail planning experience an asset Excellent communication skills Customer driven approach and a “go-getter” attitude Ability to build and maintain relationships, both externally and internally Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Salesforce an asset Demonstrated organization, planning and communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence & determination Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, read POS reports Able to travel Full clean driving license LI-Hybrid LI-HM What you can expect from us: Our mission is to Make Life More Fun with a vision to push the boundaries of innovation, creativity, and fun.
