Project Controls Engineer

The Role
Ferrovial Construction is looking for a Project Controls Engineer to support infrastructure projects at Heathrow Airport.
About Ferrovial Construction
Ferrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 12 years, delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety, and environmental standards. We focus on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements, refining our management procedures in response to Heathrow's Employers Requirements and our internal management systems.
Since joining Heathrow's framework in 2008, we have delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the airport, including new taxiways, rehabilitation of existing taxiways, and redevelopment of sterile and grass areas. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design lives and plan for a future runway resurfacing project, constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with key stakeholders to deliver value for money.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide support on a portfolio of projects to obtain and report performance, cost, and risks associated with Contract requirements and works information.
2. Support the development of project baselines across scope, time, cost, risk schedule updates, forecasting to complete, variance identification and explanation, opportunities for improvement, and earned value management of the Programme.
3. Assist in elaborating and reporting dashboards and forecasts.
4. Coordinate with different departments to verify and assure the quality of the information.
Skills and Competence
1. Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
2. Ability to perform assignments independently with supervision and guidance as required.
3. Ability to deliver timely, high-quality reports.
4. Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude.
5. Strong relationship skills with other departments/functions.
6. Good knowledge of measuring civil engineering works.
7. Experience in Project Controls is preferable.
8. Understanding of NEC4 contracts is preferable.
