Job summary The Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service enables and supports survivors of acquired brain injuries to identify, monitor and take pride in achieving each recovery milestone. The inpatient unit provides a safe and supportive environment for clients who experience severe challenging physical, cognitive and emotional behaviours in the early stage of their recovery. The unit functions as part of an inter-disciplinary team, maintains close links with patient's families/carers where possible and incorporates their needs as well as the clients when structuring individually determined rehabilitation goals/programmes. The ward is looking for an experienced, innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse (Band 6 or above) to manage patients with complex physical and mental health needs. The role will require you to support, motivate and develop your team to create a safe environment to provide the highest standards of care. You should have a passion for working with people with acquired brain injuries/ mental health needs, along with a recognised qualification in MH Nursing and a full NMC Registration.
