Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Duties
1. Assemble and disassemble vehicle components using power tools
2. Perform routine maintenance on various types of vehicles
3. Repair and troubleshoot vehicle equipment as needed
4. Provide excellent customer service by addressing vehicle issues promptly
5. Conduct heavy lifting tasks when required
6. Interpret and follow technical schematics for vehicle repairs
7. Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix vehicle problems
8. Utilize welding techniques for vehicle repairs (not a requirement)
9. Use hand tools effectively to complete tasks
Requirements
1. Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and repair
2. Proficiency in using power tools for vehicle work
3. Ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently
4. Strong customer service skills to interact with clients effectively
5. Capable of heavy lifting during vehicle maintenance tasks
6. Knowledge of technical schematics for vehicle diagnostics
7. Mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues
8. Competence in using various hand tools for maintenance activities
In order to be successful, you must hold:
* A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Minimum, can be discussed
* Recent experience within workshop environment
* A full UK Driving Licence
* Own set of tools
* MOT qualified but not essential as we can supply training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
