My client is a fast-growing Technology business looking to embark upon an exciting growth phase. They are looking to hire a progressive and ambitious Revenue Manager on a full-time permanent basis. This pivotal role will be integral to driving compliance with IFRS and GAAP revenue recognition standards, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of revenue reporting. The business has an excellent workplace culture and offers flexibility to their employees. The role can be offered either as a hybrid (2/3) working from their Manchester office or fully remote should you not live in proximity.
About The Role
As the Revenue Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders across various teams, including Sales Operations, IT, FP&A, and Accounting, to ensure best practices are adhered to and revenue reporting is precise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the revenue recognition process in both consumption and subscription-based models, ensuring integrity and adherence to established standards.
* Take ownership of the month-end close process related to revenue, driving timely and accurate reporting.
* Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure the accuracy of customer billing, collections, and balance sheet reporting.
* Lead the development and enforcement of revenue-related accounting policies and controls, ensuring they are well-documented and understood across the organization.
* Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Deal Desk, and Sales, to support system enhancements and ensure that revenue recognition requirements are met.
* Support the annual audit process, working closely with auditors to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition testing and compliance.
About You:
* A professional qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) combined with relevant work experience.
* 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in fast-paced, high-growth, or pre-IPO environments.
* Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle or Netsuite).
* In-depth knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition, particularly ASC 606 and IFRS standards.
* Proven leadership ability, with a strong track record of driving teams toward achieving objectives.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
