Job description
Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced in Housing Management?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the Housing and Neighbourhood Service. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have experience of and enjoy working with people and delivering excellent customer service.
We are looking for a Ward Team Leader to organise, manage, lead and be accountable for a team of Neighbourhood Officers in the delivery of housing management, to all council properties within a specified Electoral Ward.
You will lead your team in delivering a whole household approach to sustaining tenancies and be responsible for taking a co-ordinated and joined-up approach to neighbourhood management – helping to build an active and resilient community.
We are looking for someone to join our management team who is passionate about staff management and improving outcomes for those accessing our service.
This is a challenging time, but also an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference to how Housing management is delivered in Sheffield. If you are an organised and motivated individual with excellent communication and literacy skills and would like to join us in making a positive contribution to the lives of Sheffield residents by helping to create neighbourhoods where people want to live, then we would love to hear from you.
For any informal enquiries please contact Liz Sayles, Operations and Development Manager at 0114 2930370.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time or as a job share.
We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.
It is a great time to join us and we welcome your application.
Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria of this job are guaranteed an interview.
