Thermal and Fluid Management at Wolverhampton
Our Marston facility in Wolverhampton is the hub for Thermal and Fluid Management, part of the Collins Aerospace Power and Controls Strategic Business Unit.

Reporting to the Design Team Leader, the Senior Design Engineer will demonstrate expertise in complex product design solutions and the design definition process. The Senior Design Engineer will work with all engineering disciplines, to ensure designs meet customer and stakeholders’ requirements (safety, functional specifications, quality, cost, schedule).
11. Responsible for the detail design and definition on NPI, Legacy and Development projects
12. Responsible for the delivery of engineering milestones across projects and components
13. Support design reviews
14. Supervise, check, and validate design activities and deliverables through the product life cycle
15. Responsible for applying processes and methods for product design, and ensuring process compliance, including:Requirements managementChange managementDesign optimizationDFMEAExpertise in CAD tools (NX), PLM (Teamcenter)Robust Design, Design for Six Sigma, Geometric Dimensioning & TolerancingDesign for manufacturingDesign validationModel Based DefinitionKnowledge management (lessons learnt, design guides)
16. Education – Engineering Degree
17. Experience – Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex design solutions preferably in the Aerospace industry
18. Demonstrated technical expertise in previous roles
19. Expertise in the design and definition process of complex products through the product life cycle
20. Expertise in CAD tools (ideally NX) and PLM (Teamcenter)
21. Preferably experienced in heat exchangers, Ozone convertors and fluid management systems
22. Experience in additive manufacturing design would be advantageous
23. Excellent analytical and communication skills at all levels
