We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support a program where we need to deploy someone at a customer facility in Edinburgh (Mon to Fri). The role will focus on paperwork management, return-to-vendor processes, and final inspections, with responsibilities centred around documentation and quality assurance in a defence environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and verify the accuracy of documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (CofC), internal delivery notes, and inspection records.
Oversee Return to Vendor (RTV) activities, processing concessions, SAP notifications, and coordinating returns to logistics.
Perform Quality Level 4 inspections, reviewing parts, conducting final inspections, and signing off to meet compliance standards.
Assist the team in handling documentation requirements, such as Delivery Notes, Concessions, Permits, Quality Plans, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure quality standards are upheld.
Support risk and issue management activities, escalating concerns as needed.Background and Experience:
Aerospace / Defence Quality Assurance experience, ideally within the electronics sectors.
Familiarity with documentation processes and inspection activities.
SC clearance is required, with a preference for candidates with experience in defence and electronics environments.
SAP experience is advantageous but not essential.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality assurance tasks.Additional Requirements:

Ideally holds UK SC Level or above Security Clearance
Ideally be in commutable distance of Edinburgh or willing to fund staying locally to be on-site Monday to Friday.Contract:
