Position: Facilities Technician
Location: Wokingham
Type: Full-time Permanent
Overview:
The successful candidate will provide general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision) for the complete facility both internally and externally. In addition to general facilities maintenance, the role includes basic assembly work on the production line if so required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Weekly inspections of the internal and external infrastructure, gardens, and organization, including maintenance and upkeep.
2. Routine facility and equipment maintenance.
3. Daily close of business clean-up and tool tidy assistance and management.
4. Production line assembly assistance where applicable.
5. Shipment packing assistance where applicable.
6. Landscaping as required.
7. Sorting, repacking, and disposal of retained and redundant equipment.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Schooling to at least GCSE level.
2. At least two years of verifiable experience (three or more highly desirable) maintaining buildings both interior and exterior, including all aspects of landscaping.
3. Experience in electrical, plumbing, and landscaping a plus.
4. Ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and use general hand and electric powered tools.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
6. Strong command of the English language both spoken and written.
7. Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
8. Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting the organization's high standards for maintenance of facilities.
