Tendering: Assist in the preparation and analysis of tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure all contract terms are adhered to. Valuations: Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and prepare interim and final valuations. Cost Reporting: Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular updates and reports to management. Contract Administration: Manage contractual documentation, including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions. Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements Education / qualifications in a subject relating to Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Commercial Management. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the roofing industry (ideally commercial flat roofing) Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project). In-depth understanding of roofing & cladding materials, construction methods, and industry regulations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. A valid driver's license is required.
