NES Fircroft are currently recruiting a long-term Project Manager, to join a leading power company based in West Scotland.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the major replacement of a Super Grid Transformer which will also include the design of the associated equipment, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of the new transformers.
Job specifications
1. Lead the Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and security of the project.
2. Develop and manage project budget.
3. Ensure that the technical performance of the contractors is of the highest level.
4. Manage the project to ensure that the consent requirements are managed and delivered.
5. Manage the transition from a project basis to fully operational basis by leading the change management process effectively and efficiently.
Essential experience
1. Experience of developing strong relationships with Contractors and internal customers to manage the requirements of both.
2. Experience of operating in senior line management within an operational environment.
3. Strong knowledge of project management including balancing cost, time and quality.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. health & safety, environment and construction law.
5. Excellent leadership including change management and coaching skills.
6. A proven track record of delivering successful results in complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Desirable experience
1. Power station operation.
2. Ability to interpret and understand complex analytical data.
3. A Degree in a relevant subject such as Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent large Programme Management experience.
4. You will also hold a formal Project Management qualification including membership of the Association of Project Management. An equivalent Institution membership may be accepted.
