Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Medical Secretary in Neurology within our Specialist Medicine - Clinical Administration Unit at Maidstone Hospital.
You will have exceptional secretarial skills and experience in all areas of Microsoft packages. Typing is an essential skill, as well as demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills.
We are a very supportive unit, where being a team player is essential, as well as being self-motivated, able to prioritise a busy workload, work to deadlines, and have a flexible approach to duties.

Main duties of the job
You should be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.
Knowledge and experience within the health sector would be beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications
* Good standard of general education (to GCSE/A Level) or equivalent experience
* Secretarial and audio-word processing qualification to at least RSA3/advanced level certificate
Experience and Knowledge
* Previous secretarial experience
* Significant experience of dealing with the public

* Knowledge of Allscripts / ERS
