An exciting opportunity has arisen in a well-established and market-leading company within the Construction Sector. The company head office is in LS12. They are looking for a Finance Officer to join their close-knit and friendly Finance Team to support the Head of Finance with the monthly accounts.
This role will be perfect if you thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment where no two days are the same. You will take ownership of processes and contribute towards delivering a seamless month-end. This role will include the following duties:
1. Sales ledger - allocation of payments, raising statements, and reconciling payments
2. Credit Control - chasing outstanding payments
3. Purchase ledger - raising and processing invoices
4. Statement and bank reconciliations
5. VAT returns
6. Month-end duties to support the Head of Finance
7. Handling customer and supplier queries
8. Cash reconciliations
9. Payroll
Key skills for the role:
1. Able to work to deadlines and with accuracy
2. Experienced in a similar all-round position
3. SME company experience
4. Strong general IT and MS Excel capabilities
