Job Title: Food Technology Teacher (Secondary Schools)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a client secondary school in Christchurch. This role is ideal for a fully qualified teacher (QTS), though we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant teaching experience or a strong background in the food industry.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students to develop practical cooking skills, understand nutrition, and appreciate the importance of healthy eating. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and marking engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring all students are supported to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
* Develop schemes of work and assessments to monitor student progress effectively.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
* Manage and support students in practical cooking lessons, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students' academic and personal development.
Minimum Requirements:
* Fully qualified teacher (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology or significant relevant experience.
* A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students in food technology.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to deliver both practical and theoretical lessons effectively.
* Knowledge of current educational frameworks and food safety regulations.
This full-time position is set to start after the Easter break.
