International Logistics Coordinator
About Us
Dale Farm is the largest UK farmer-owned cooperative, owned by 1,300 UK farmers. We supply a wide range of dairy products, including cheese, butter, dairy spreads, fresh milk, and ice cream to consumers and as food ingredients into the UK, Irish, and international markets. Core to our success is our people, and we now have an exciting opportunity within our logistics team, based at our Head Office in Belfast. This role has a hybrid working arrangement.
About the Role
As the International Logistics Coordinator, you will be part of the logistics team which supports our international commercial function and is responsible for the shipping of our products worldwide. Within this role, you will be:
1. Maintaining contact with all customers and developing an in-depth understanding of customer objectives, strategies, and operational requirements.
2. Planning chilled freight within the UK, EU, and worldwide.
3. Preparing and liaising with external authorities on export documentation.
4. Responsible for maintaining our customer relationships as you will be the point of contact for customer orders across our range of ingredients.
5. Working cross-functionally across the Group to ensure we exceed customer requirements and meet budget and forecast deadlines.
6. Assisting with the movement of goods from GB to NI and associated customs procedures.
7. Providing support to our commercial function.
About You
The Essential
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience within a commercial environment. This opportunity calls for a dynamic professional with a strong work ethic who will have first-rate communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a busy team in a fast-paced commercial environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-oriented individual and will be able to demonstrate their creativity, skills, energy, and ability to multitask effectively. Candidates should be IT literate allowing them to collate and analyse internal sales data, create monthly sales reports, and ensure a world-class service delivery.
The Desirable
While not essential, it would be beneficial for candidates to come from a logistics background. A 3rd level qualification in a relevant field would also be advantageous. Knowledge of export documentation, INCOTERMS and TSS would be advantageous.
