This prestigious business, situated in a stunning location in the Hampshire countryside, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small friendly team. This position is ideal for an individual with a background in purchase and sales ledger and who is looking to enhance their expertise in accounts and finance.
Accounts Assistant - About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all revenue transactions are recorded correctly, prepare daily and monthly sales reports for management and assist the Finance team in providing sickness and holiday cover. Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Complete daily banking, reconciling credit cards to the credit card automated system, and correcting errors.
2. Verification of revenue from all departments, rectifying discrepancies.
3. Assist the Senior Accounts Assistant with all daily control and reconciliation tasks.
4. Assist the finance team with an automated purchasing system and reconciling statements.
5. Daily postings of receipts and deposits from bank statements.
6. Work with the Finance team to fulfil month-end assignments as requested.
The Accounts Assistant will have:
1. Purchase and Sales ledger experience.
2. Excellent IT and Excel skills.
3. Exceptional attention to detail.
4. A self-motivated, collaborative, proactive approach.
5. Ability to use own initiative and work on your own as well as within a team.
6. Excellent time management, able to prioritise workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
