About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Employment Lawyer with a minimum of 6 years’ post-qualifying experience (PQE). This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious individual to take on a leading role within our Employment practice, contributing to complex cases and shaping the future of the team.
Key accountabilities:
Legal Expertise:
* Advising clients on a broad spectrum of employment law matters, including contentious and non-contentious work.
* Leading complex cases such as tribunal claims, TUPE processes, and high-profile workplace investigations.
* Strong Employment Law experience gained at a city or national law firm
* Proven ability to manage complex cases and advise on high-stakes issues.
* Extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
Technical expertise:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
* Providing strategic advice on redundancies, restructuring, and employee relations issues.
Client and practise development:
* Staying ahead of legislative changes and advising clients on compliance, including diversity, inclusion, and ESG-related matters.
* Playing a key role in business development, including building client relationships, delivering seminars, and contributing to thought leadership.
Leadership abilities:
* Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to their professional development.
Strong business acumen:
* And the ability to deliver commercially focused advice.
Communication skills:
* Excellent written and oral communications skills, negotiation, and drafting skills.
Client-centric approach:
* A flair for client development, building and maintaining long-term relationships, identifying opportunities for business growth and developing strategies to enhance client satisfaction.
Leadership experience:
* With the ability to supervise and inspire junior team members.
About you:
Experienced qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 6+ year’s PQE. Employment Law experience gained at a city or national law firm is desirable.
Ambitious and collaborative: A keen interest driving and participating in team business development initiatives. With a proactive ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible approach to working under pressure
Client focused: A proven track record of advising clients in innovative sectors such as technology, fintech, or life sciences.
Innovative and tech-savvy: A genuine interest in leveraging legal technology to enhance service delivery and improve efficiency.
Communication: A proven track record of working with senior managers and reporting to key stakeholders and management board members.
