We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Outage Manager to join Thames Water on a permanent basis. As the successful candidate, your role will be to lead the strategic delivery of all planned outages across the Water systems. As well as balancing the uninterrupted supply of safe clean drinking water to our customers and the delivery of all capital, inspection and operational projects and programmes. The role will successfully work across senior stakeholders within Water Operations, Capital Delivery, DMC, System Operations and others to enable. The role will involve interaction with external stakeholders, including Drinking Water Inspectorate, the Environment Agency and others., The senior accountable person who owns the coordination and delivery of all Water activities and responsibilities required for the successful delivery of an extremely complex capital delivery programme Engage with and develop a high performing network at all levels within Water and other parts of AO&CD and Retail Ensure that the outage programme is agile and able to respond to changes in operational or capital delivery circumstances - ensuring a continued supply of potable water to customers whilst maximising the efficiency of the capital programme Work with all levels within Water to improve site engagement and develop and deliver a deliverable outage programme that meets the needs of Thames Water and its customers Responsible for project planning stage to ensure dependencies and assumptions are in place to successfully ensure completion of outages Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver the long term outage plan As the owner of the Water Outage programme identify, predict, and address all risks and issues well before they become blockers for the Work with key stakeholders to ensure H&S and public health is maintained throughout the programme Own the 'Unplanned Outage' performance commitment, strategy and improvement plan Support the delivery/outage enablers for the increased volume of mains replacement programme for AMP8 Lead for Water for AMP8 operational readiness Lead delivery of the outages for the Water 'Major Projects' Lead a supportive learning environment that transparently identifies and learns lessons after each outage Have significant operational and project management experience Be able to demonstrate capability with risk-based and analytical decision making Ability to think logically and problem solve alongside the local team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated at all levels of the business Comfortable managing outcomes in a matrix environment A collaborative approach (demonstrable) and an excellent relationship management Good business knowledge and ability to think strategically across the organisation Ability to devise compelling business cases for enabling activities Good Microsoft Office skills Proven ability to coach and manage a team Due to the nature of the role a full UK Driving licence is essential At Thames Water, our purpose is crystal clear - to deliver life's essential service so our customers, communities and planet can thrive.
