Role: Deputy Production Manager Location: Shrewsbury Type: PermanentSalary: Up to £40,000 per annumHours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm Due to expansion, our client is looking to appoint a Deputy Production Manager to join their growing team in Shrewsbury.The successful candidate will possess the motivation, perseverance, and desire to assist in reaching goals and promoting business expansion.In order to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), you will oversee labour and material resources while maintaining strict adherence to quality, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.The Role: Help create and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in order to effectively satisfy customer demand. Make sure that production goals are regularly reached and that processes operate efficiently. Make sure all production equipment is kept up to date and functional. To manage repairs and minimise downtime, coordinate with maintenance teams. Oversee and guide the production team, making sure they are in line with the daily objectives. Give employees direction and assistance to guarantee efficient teamwork and transparent communication. Put into practice simple cost-cutting strategies like reducing material waste and maximising worker hours. Examine production procedures on a regular basis for methods to cut expenses without compromising quality. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like waste levels, material consumption, and production output. Make decisions based on this data to increase overall production efficiency. The candidate: Previous experience working in a management role Experience working in a food manufacturing environment HACCP Level 3 Strong understanding of food safety standards (HACCP) and health and safety regulations.
