The Role:
The Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator will be part of our Customer Service Department. The range of Duties includes liaising with customers, customs brokers, other departments within the company (Sales team, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance etc.) and providing KPI’s for the business. You will be expected to often juggle multiple projects or tasks at once and be prepared to take on something new with only a moment's notice. Experience in Export / Import is not essential, but it will be considered an advantage. You will be asked to own certain processes and ensure that everyone is updated with changes accordingly.
Your Responsibilities:
- Processing relevant export and import documentation and ensuring that all parts are ready on time to meet despatch dates of the orders
- Liaising with hauliers, customs brokers and customers to ensure the orders are not susceptible to be held at any import / export point
- Producing orders reports and maintaining them up to date
- Keeping the records of all imports and exports up to date for both BI UK and Poland
- Updating the Import / Export procedure following participation at webinars and trainings
- Manage the receipt and input of customers’ orders, entering all orders accurately and promptly onto Line 1000 system.
-External warehouse weekly reconciliation
- Liaise with Business Managers and credit control team to ensure any credit stop orders are held until payment has cleared, communicating with the customer at all stages to update on progress.
- Support customers on delivery queries, complaints, requests for information and any ad hoc issues.
- Liaise with relevant teams to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled, remaining up to date on production capability and supply of raw materials
- Support the Customer Service Manager with any ad hoc tasks and provide cover in their absence
- Manage intercompany accounts, processing necessary launches, delists and trials.
- Support the sales team and work closely with them to ensure all admin is complete
- Manage the forecasting for customers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date

The Ideal Candidate (Desirables)
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook at an advanced level
- Minimum of 2 years working in a Customer Services role
- Able to demonstrate initiative, decision making and self-motivation
- Used to working within a fast-moving pressurised environment
- Able to demonstrate flexibility within your role
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent telephone manners
- Time management skills
- Able to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of multi modal transport operations
- European and Deep-Sea experience
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably food
