Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a deep understanding of the current landscape, including technical aspects of legacy systems, to support the transition to modern target systems.
2. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to identify and resolve obstacles, ensuring seamless project delivery.
3. Quickly gain knowledge of systems and the products they support to provide relevant and actionable insights.
4. Document business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications to guide engineering activities.
5. Secure stakeholder approvals on documented requirements, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
6. Engage effectively with stakeholders, addressing their concerns with a thorough understanding of systems and products.
7. Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring project documentation and deliverables are accurate and complete.
8. Manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure, maintaining focus despite the complexity of the environment.
9. Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Experience & Competencies
Essential:
1. At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial sector, with a strong grasp of technical systems and processes.
2. Proven experience navigating transformation environments, particularly in modernising and migrating from legacy systems.
3. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing the technical challenges of legacy systems.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
5. Experience working with technical teams and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and resolving issues effectively.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
7. Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness across all deliverables.
8. A team-oriented mindset, promoting collaboration and contributing to a positive work environment.
Skills & Tools
1. Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
2. Experience with JIRA and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
3. Strong ability to analyse and document business requirements and technical specifications.
4. Problem-solving skills to identify and remove obstacles for engineering teams.
