Who we are.
We are Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with mental health needs, and people with learning disabilities.
The Role of our Quality Auditor:
1. Provide a critical review of the status of care and support delivery within a service.
2. Audit, action planning, and review. Provide guidance and assistance on remedial action planning and revisit services to test whether plans have been implemented and quality improvements achieved.
3. Responsible for the delivery of the quality audit programme, including undertaking regular quality audits, spot checks, writing reports, producing recommendations, and recording actions on Access.
4. Provide guidance on remedial action planning and drive change to ensure standards are understood and met.
5. Work in partnership with internal colleagues to improve quality across a designated group of services with a clear focus on delivering personalised care and support.
6. Understand the standards set by CQC and each Local Authority monitoring tools and support services to prepare for inspection and contract monitoring.
7. Provide monitoring and reporting data on quality to facilitate effective decision-making, including analysing data, identifying and highlighting risks and concerns, and making recommendations for improvement.
8. Ensure that Ambient Guardians play an active role in quality monitoring of services, including working alongside and supporting our quality checkers.
9. Revisit services to evidence that action plans are being implemented and quality improvements are being achieved.
10. Support operational innovation and good practice to support culture change within the organisation.
11. Take an active part in the shared on-call for the Division.
Skills and attributes of our Quality Auditor:
1. Desirable NVQ Level 3 in adult care - advanced level or equivalent qualifications or working towards.
2. Proficient in MS Office and web-based services.
3. Experience of managing a care or support-related service.
4. Experience of carrying out or being subject to regulated activity/inspections.
5. A commitment to delivering person-centred approaches to personalised support.
6. Ability to identify innovative practice and share learning effectively with colleagues.
7. Flexible, adaptable, and willing to face up to changing circumstances and new opportunities.
8. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and motivated towards excellence and improvement.
9. Ability to work on own initiative and to established deadlines.
10. Ability to evaluate information, assess risks, identify concerns, and make recommendations.
11. Excellent written, oral, listening, and communication skills.
12. Willing to travel to different areas as required.
13. Working flexibly in accordance with the needs of the post, including occasional evenings and weekends.
14. Able to work as part of a dispersed team of colleagues.
15. Full Driving Licence.
