The energy system will continue to change rapidly and fundamentally on the path to net zero in 2050. National Grid is at the heart of these changes, which poses strategic questions for us as a business and for the wider sector. We need to move at pace and reform our energy system – to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people. Group Strategy, Innovation and Market Analytics (SIMA) leads on answering high-level strategic questions for National Grid and working with external stakeholders to collectively answer broader questions for the whole industry.
We are looking for a proactive, knowledgeable energy market analyst, preferably with strong energy demand knowledge around heat pumps, EVs, and data centres for example. As a senior analyst within the Market Analytics team, you will be part of a team that navigates future pathways for National Grid by conducting in-depth energy market analyses, modelling scenarios, quantifying risks and opportunities for National Grid. The team combines the latest market intelligence, deep energy sector expertise and sophisticated modelling tools to provide insights that matter right across the business. We provide a trusted view on energy markets outlook and share insights that help the business to make informed commercial and strategic decisions.
