About the Role:
We’re looking for a forward-thinking and collaborative Executive Nurse Director who’s ready to lead change, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement in person-centred care. In this key leadership role, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping the future of nursing and midwifery services within our health board, supporting our strategic direction, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Leadership & Transformation : Leading strategic initiatives that transform the delivery of care, ensuring an innovative, people-focused approach.
2. Collaboration & Influence : Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, influencing positive change across the healthcare system.
3. People Development : Supporting and nurturing a culture of compassionate, collaborative leadership, and developing a highly skilled, motivated workforce.
We are seeking an experienced clinical practitioner with a strong background in nursing/midwifery and senior leadership experience in complex healthcare settings. As a role model for compassionate leadership, you’ll be able to inspire, support, and develop others while guiding our Nursing and Midwifery teams through change.
What We’re Looking For:
4. A proven track record in senior management and strategic leadership within the healthcare sector.
5. Significant clinical experience, with a robust understanding of nursing and midwifery practice at an executive level.
6. Excellent communication, people management, and partnership skills.
7. A passion for developing and supporting teams and individuals to achieve their potential.
Requirements:
8. Current registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the NMC.
9. Master’s degree or equivalent qualifications, with evidence of continued professional development.
10. Senior/Board-level experience in healthcare leadership.
