Join a critical defence project at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) site near Reading. We are seeking experienced Programme/Project Managers with a proven track record of delivering complex projects to lead in this high:stakes environment.

Duration: 12 months
Rate: GBP650/day (Outside IR35)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours/day

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational management and delivery of projects/sectors within a large, complex project.
* Drive programme delivery and ensure schedule adherence.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, supply chain contractors, and construction management teams.
* Oversee weekly and monthly programme review sessions to ensure risks are mitigated, and schedules remain achievable.
* Manage supply chain contracts, ensuring work between contractors is deconflicted and prioritised as per programme requirements.
* Ensure nuclear safety and quality standards are met to the highest level.
* Close out and hand over completed work packages to commissioning.
* Manage deliverables against tight schedules and budgets, balancing quality, risk, and opportunity management.
* Foster an inclusive and motivated team environment, ensuring successful project outcomes.
* Implement and oversee project controls and commercial management practices (NEC3 and NEC4).
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Extensive experience managing large and complex projects, preferably within the defence sector.
* Strong background in project controls and commercial management.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in high:pressure environments.
* Experience with nuclear safety protocols and quality assurance.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to deconflict, prioritise, and manage multiple supply chain contractors.
Security Clearance Requirements
* Minimum SC:level clearance required, with some roles needing DV:level clearance.
