We invite you to join our dynamic leadership team as the Children's Community Nursing Service (CCNS) Quality Lead - a pivotal role at the heart of clinical quality and service excellence within CCNS.
In this role, you will work closely with the CCNS Clinical Lead and your fellow CCNS Quality Lead to lead a broad portfolio of quality and safety initiatives within a varied service including: the Children's Nursing Team, Hannah House, Specialist Inclusion Learning Centres, Continuing Care, and Health Short Breaks. You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering key quality frameworks, supporting Quality Challenge+ and Quality Boards, and driving the development and review of clinical pathways.
Your responsibilities will also include:
1. Leading the implementation of best practice guidance and training
2. Managing clinical audits, producing insightful reports, and presenting findings
3. Embedding learning from incidents and recommendations
4. Completing Equality and Quality Impact Assessments (EQIAs)
5. Proactively identifying clinical risks and driving mitigation actions, all through a SMART, outcomes-focused lens

Main duties of the job
A key aspect of this role is leading quality improvement initiatives across the Children's Community Nursing Service (CCNS). The postholder will work in close collaboration with the CCNS Operational Team Leads and fellow Quality Lead across various service areas, including the Children's Nursing Team, Hannah House, Specialist Inclusion Learning Centres, Continuing Care, and Health Short Breaks. Together, you will identify and drive areas for service improvement, using recognized improvement methodologies to support and influence others in understanding and embedding sustainable change.
The postholder will lead investigations of concerns and complaints, working closely with the CCNS Leadership Team to identify learning, triangulate key themes and data, and implement meaningful actions to enhance safety and experience.
The successful candidate will bring expertise in monitoring, reporting, and evaluating performance, ensuring that robust processes, guidance, SOPs, and policies are in place. You will also support the CCNS Clinical Lead in providing clinical governance oversight and be a key part of our leadership team, fostering a culture of support, learning, compassion, and excellence in care.
