One-to-One Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position starts in January and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role depending on performance.
About the Role:
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused support to a specific student, helping them overcome barriers to learning and enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working closely with young people to make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one with a designated student to support their academic progress and personal development.
- Assist with understanding and completing classwork, adapting materials where necessary to suit the student's individual needs.
- Provide emotional and behavioral support, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
- Monitor the student's progress and share updates with the wider school team and parents/carers as required.
- Promote independence and confidence in the student, encouraging active participation in the school community.
- Support the student during unstructured times, such as break and lunch, to enhance their social interactions.

What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people, particularly in a one-to-one or support capacity.
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
- Show a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs or learning challenges.
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Possess relevant qualifications or prior experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- Be available full-time from January through the end of the academic year.
