Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective French lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. Encourage a passion for the French language and culture, helping students develop both their linguistic and communication skills. Differentiate lessons to meet the varying abilities of students, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and high standards of behaviour. Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum, ensuring it reflects current best practices and enhances student learning. Participate in departmental meetings, whole-school events, and extra-curricular activities, fostering a well-rounded school experience for all students. Work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure the academic and personal development of each student.About You: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Essential). A degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related subject (Essential). Previous experience teaching French at secondary level (Desirable, but NQTs are welcome to apply). A strong passion for the French language and culture, with the ability to share that enthusiasm with students. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons. A creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
