Assist the SENDCo in managing and enhancing SEN provision across the school and college. A stepping stone for professionals seeking to expand their leadership skills in SEN. Key Responsibilities Support the SENDCo in coordinating SEN provision, ensuring all students receive the help they need to thrive academically and socially. Help develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalized learning strategies. Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, parents, and external agencies to provide cohesive support for students. Assist in organizing staff training to build capacity for inclusive teaching and effective SEN practices. Monitor the progress of SEN students, analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and recommending improvements. Promote a culture of inclusion and well-being throughout the school and college community. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary school or college setting. A background in teaching or educational support, with a keen interest in SEN provision. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with a range of stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and external professionals.
