Responsibilities
1. Assist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering.
2. Provide status reports of project milestones and adjustments to schedules.
3. Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as-built drawings, turnover documents, etc.
4. Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs, and applicable procedures.
5. Ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.
6. Forecast and track change orders and scope changes.
7. Coordinate all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, material tracking, and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field.
8. Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors, and suppliers supporting the project.
9. Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
10. Maintain high standards related to final product quality.
11. Plan and coordinate the Construction and Commissioning Completion Declaration reviews in collaboration with Construction, Commissioning, and Operation entities.
12. Identify and analyze punch items and follow-up on the progress of their completion.
13. Chair Construction Completion Declaration review.
14. Prepare acceptance forms and reports and ensure sign-off obtained before carrying on the transfer of responsibility.
15. Identify appropriate engineering standards and practices to be used for the transfer of system during different phases of the project.
16. Maintain departmental costs within budget.
17. Perform regular field tours to check work progress and meet with project site personnel.
18. Carry out site safety inspections.
19. Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technology Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil discipline.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in project engineering in a construction or EPC environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
* Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Service-oriented.
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Due to the nature of work conducted, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
