Job Description:
Baines Simmons are recruiting for an Associate Engineer Licensing / Part 147/66 Consultant and Trainer to join the team in making a difference to customers across the Consulting, Training, and Managed Services propositions. You will be pivotal to strategy delivery, continuous improvement of the portfolio, and exploitation of SMARRT MAP.
The role is home-based, so as long as you are happy to travel, your location might be anywhere in Britain. Other national and international travel, including long-haul, will also be required for this role, so a willingness and ability to travel are essential. Our most recent project will involve travel to New Zealand to assist with setting up internal licensing systems, processes, and procedures.
Please note that this is an associate position, so work will be on an ad-hoc basis and pay will be worked out on a daily rate and negotiated at the offer stage. There might, however, be potential for conversion from associate status to a permanent role in the future, dependent on business needs.
What you will be doing:
1. Working collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of products and services, measured against the following key result criteria:
Client Satisfaction:
Ensure that the Baines Simmons stringent quality standards and reputation are maintained and developed. Engage proactively with the Baines Simmons Quality Management System (QMS) and feedback process to continuously improve the client experience.
World-Leading Proposition:
Assist with the development, maintenance, and management of products & services in accordance with Baines Simmons practices. Support Product Development by continuously monitoring product health, industry best practice, customer feedback, and competing products.
Business Development:
Provide subject matter expertise to Business Development during pre-sales meetings/calls to scope customer needs and propose solutions. Feedback opportunities/client intelligence in support of Account Management plans.
Support successful and profitable client projects/programmes that deliver client satisfaction and reputational status to enable account growth.
What we are looking for:
1. Knowledge and practical experience of Civil Aircraft Engineer Licensing specifically Part 147 and Part 66. You may have some form of Maintenance Training School management, QA, Instructor, or Examiner background.
2. An understanding of best practice with respect to Compliance, Human Factors, and Risk Management, and how to apply these in a regulatory environment.
3. Experience of working within a regulator (Essential for an immediate requirement only, otherwise desirable).
4. A passion to support Baines Simmons strategy to make the skies safer.
5. A desire to continually develop self and others.
6. An ability to build trust, rapport, and influence.
7. A full UK Driving licence.
8. A willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as required (reasonable mileage and expenses covered).
9. Training, consulting, and/or project management experience.
10. Training design and development experience.
11. A strong network within the industry.
12. Experience of working with the regulator.
