Main Responsibilities
1. Provide the team with typing, secretarial and administrative support.
2. Work responsibly to support the needs of the fee earners and deliver a quality service.
3. Assist with digital dictation and administrative support across the company in line with the Company’s workflow ethic.
4. Transcribe and prepare all correspondence and documents through audiotyping and word processing, using Company precedents where appropriate.
5. Operate the case management system, including storing documents electronically and organizing them to relevant matters.
6. Manage client/matter files accurately and in a timely manner, including file opening, preparation of client care letters, terms and conditions, file closure, and archiving.
7. Make appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain manager/fee earners' diaries as required, including providing refreshments if necessary.
8. Monitor compliance with Lexcel requirements.
Skills Required
1. Experience as a legal secretary/secretary, including the use of a digital dictation tool.
2. Computer literacy, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
3. A typing speed of at least 65 wpm with 90% accuracy.
4. Excellent attention to detail, including spelling and punctuation.
5. An ability to organize own work effectively and plan well to meet required deadlines.
This role will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service, Baseline Personnel Security Standards, Counter Terrorist Check, and Security Check, or Developed Vetting clearance.
