This is an exciting opportunity for a 5-8 PQE Corporate Solicitor to take a leading role within a highly regarded regional firm as Head of Corporate. You’ll initially join as an Associate Director, with a seat on the management team, and a clear, realistic path to Board level once you’ve settled in and proven your impact.
You’ll take the reins from the outgoing senior lawyer and steady the ship, laying the groundwork to scale the department just as the private client and family teams have already done.
There’s already a healthy flow of transactional work coming in – especially from Harrogate and York – and you’ll also have the opportunity to lean on a well-established network in the tech sector and build new commercial relationships of your own.
This role would suit someone currently at a mid-sized firm with broad transactional experience, strong commercial instincts and a natural flair for BD and leadership.
Who we’re looking for
* A corporate solicitor with 5–8 years PQE
* Experienced in a broad range of transactional work, ideally including M&A, restructuring, commercial contracts and tech sector clients
* Confident in managing files and supervising junior lawyers (currently an NQ in the team)
* Gravitas and vision to lead and grow a team
* Proven track record in BD, networking or growing a client base
* A confident, people-first personality that fits a professional yet approachable culture

* Negotiable departmental profit-share bonus (potential to earn a % of what the team bills over target)
