Our People andCapability Team are a diverse team of HR professionals who providecritical support to the department across a number of areas. Weprovide expert advice to enable the department to achieve its wideraims, delivering everything from day-to-day support totransformational change. We work closely with senior leaders tomake sure that our work genuinely supports and makes valuablecontributions to theorganisation.
Youwould be part of a small and friendly HR Business Partner andCasework team and as head of casework your will oversee the work ofyour team who work closely with managers to build their capabilityand confidence in getting the best out of the staff they manage, inparticular when issues arise.
Aboutthe Job
In this role, youwill:
· Leademployee relations casework within HM Treasury, ensuring thatmanagers are supported with accurate, timely and robust advice.Maximise use of statistical casework data, sharing trendsappropriately withSCS.
· Provideexpert, up-to-date advice and support to Treasury senior managerson employee relation casework matters. Stay abreast of current andemerging employment legislation and best practice at all times.Liaise with lawyers from Government Legal Department asappropriate.
· Overseedevelopment, implementation, evaluation and communication ofdisciplinary and attendance management policies and procedures atHM Treasury, ensuring that policies meet departmentalneeds.
· Projectlead the introduction of a new casework management system replacingthe out-of-date access database. Exploring and procurement ofproducts to both assist in the management of casework and ensuringaccurate record keeping whilst delivering value formoney.
· Overseethe provision of workplace adjustments ensuring HMT adopts a bestpractice approach. Managing and supporting the workplaceadjustments manager asappropriate

You will be CIPD qualifiedlevel 7 (equivalent experience in field of HR casework),experienced at overseeing a full range of HR casework, HR Policyand workplace adjustment activities, including experience ofdealing successfully with situations at senior level and of aconfidential and sensitive nature.
