The Venue
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is a premium resort style hotel overlooking the beautiful, white sandy beaches of Brighton-Le-Sands and Sydney's picturesque Botany Bay. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and on track to be one of the best food & beverage, accommodation & event venues in NSW.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals to upkeep the general preventative maintenance of the hotel.
* Carrying out preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, commercial and retail spaces.
* Liaising with the hotel leadership team regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
* Professionally and efficiently coordinate the scheduling of Reactive, Planned and Proactive maintenance works.
* Take the lead in managing the overall workflow and end-to-end logistics of all jobs both technical and engineering as well as financially and operationally.
* Ensuring WHS and electrical compliance.
* Undertake administrative duties with attention to detail to ensure data integrity of internal databases, reports and job logs.
* Ensuring you are productive and competent in the safe and effective use of equipment, machinery and chemicals.
* Completing regular maintenance reporting.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role highly desirable.
* Self motivation with the ability to work autonomously.
* Basic air conditioning fundamental knowledge.
* Large Hotel Experience (300+ rooms) is preferred.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication; the ability to work with people at all levels.
* Sound understanding of WHS and Manual Handling.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, especially in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Previous hands-on, maintenance experience in a hotel.
