High growth manufacturing business are looking for a brand new Head of Digital Marketing.
You will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing and driving the strategy, growth, and execution of online sales, as well as leading the development and execution of the customer journey, customer acquisition and CRM.
This is a brilliant time to join this high growth business going through international expansion. There is a clear progression plan for the Head of Digital Marketing.
The role is office-based 5 days/week in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Digital:
1. Develop and execute the overall e-commerce strategy to meet revenue goals.
2. Identify and analyse e-commerce trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop and refine in-house strategy.
3. Lead the development of the digital customer experience, including website user experience (UX), content strategy, and personalisation.
4. Lead catalogue management, optimisation of existing product offerings and onboard new products/categories as required.
5. Lead the acquisition of organic traffic through effective SEO and content programmes.
6. Oversee the Magento2 e-commerce platform to ensure best in class functionality, user experience, and security.
7. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to improve e-commerce processes and systems (e.g., AI, personalisation tools, etc.).
8. Manage the Wordpress based Group websites.
9. Lead and develop a high-performing e-commerce team, ensuring alignment with business goals and professional growth opportunities.
10. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
11. Work closely with other departments to develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, email campaigns, and paid media.
12. Utilise analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PowerBI, etc.) to track and optimise e-commerce performance, user behaviour, and marketing effectiveness.
13. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the customer journey and improve user engagement and sales.
14. Work with the sales and technical team on Sales Force to deliver retention and engagement campaigns.
The Head of Digital must have the following experience:
1. 8+ years of experience in B2B e-commerce and digital marketing.
2. Positive, high energy, proactive individual.
3. Hands-on experience within Magento and Wordpress.
4. Excellent knowledge of analytics platforms including GA4, console, bing, merchant centres.
5. Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling e-commerce operations.
6. Strong experience with data analytics and using metrics to drive decision-making.
7. Experience within large product portfolios.
