The post holder will provide the professional leadership, management, co-ordination, and governance of the service within NHS Lothian within available resources.
The post holder will work with the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and appropriate others in the enhancement and strategic development of the existing services as well as the development of any new services based on the needs of the community. They will work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies and provide expert professional knowledge.
To provide line management to School Nursing teams within the designated area ensuring appropriate staffing levels and staff management. The workload will be managerial and clinically focused with emphasis on leading the enhancement and development of the School Nursing service and implementation of the School Nursing Pathway.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
