Job Description:
We are in search of a talented individual to take on the role of Energy and Sustainability Manager. This position requires a candidate with a robust technical background, preferably possessing an Engineering or relevant technical degree at the Chartered level or higher. As a sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team, bringing your expertise to a business-to-business consultancy setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, coach, and develop a team to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
2. Act as a 'trusted advisor' in a business-to-business consultancy, providing top-notch support and advice in specialized technical disciplines, particularly in electrical engineering.
3. Utilise strong stakeholder management skills to foster and maintain complex client relationships.
4. Demonstrate a proven ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
Specialisation:
Ideally, you must specialise in one or more of the following areas, while maintaining a working knowledge of all other relevant domains:
1. Energy Audits Implementation: Conduct comprehensive energy audits on client sites to identify existing energy usage patterns and areas for potential savings.
2. Energy Management and Carbon Legislation: Stay informed about carbon legislation, including CRC/SECR, EUETS, GHG, CDP, DECs, and EPCs. Provide expertise in various aspects of energy management and related legislation.
3. Measurement and Verification: Implement measurement and verification processes according to IPMVP or equivalent standards.
4. Water Management: Identify and implement water management strategies, including the identification of opportunities for savings.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field at the Chartered level or higher (desirable).
2. Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
3. Previous experience in a business-to-business consultancy as a 'trusted advisor.'
4. Strong stakeholder management skills.
5. Proven ability to articulate technical information to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
