We are seeking an experienced Land Buyer to join an established and growing Residential Developer based in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Land Identification:
o Proactively source and identify land opportunities suitable for residential development.
o Analyse market trends and assess land values to identify areas of growth potential.
2. Feasibility Assessments:
o Conduct detailed due diligence, including planning assessments and financial appraisals, to evaluate the viability of potential sites.
o Liaise with architects, planners, and surveyors to assess development potential.
3. Land Acquisition:
o Negotiate with landowners, agents, and other stakeholders to secure land acquisitions.
o Prepare and present detailed land acquisition proposals to the senior management team.
4. Stakeholder Relationships:
o Build and maintain relationships with land agents, local authorities, and landowners.
o Represent the company at networking events and industry forums.
5. Compliance & Reporting:
o Ensure compliance with all relevant planning and legal regulations.
o Provide regular updates and reports on land acquisition progress and pipeline development.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in sourcing and acquiring land for residential development.
* Strong understanding of the UK planning system and residential development processes.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to undertake detailed feasibility assessments.
* Established network of contacts within the property and development industry.
* Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
* Full UK driving license is essential.
