General Summary
Entry Level Analysts provide technical support throughout a customer implementation. They are focused on building technical expertise for a single product.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities/Knowledge
* Develop high-quality, client-specific enhancements in a timely manner.
* Analyze and resolve technical issues that arise throughout a customer implementation.
* Primary activities include enhancement development, testing, issues resolution, implementation, and post-implementation support. Any of these activities may require onsite support.
Skills/Qualifications
* Entry-level professional contributor on a project or specialty work team.
* Typically requires BS/BA or higher in Engineering or Computer Science or related work experience and 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related field.
* Adheres to departmental processes and procedures.
* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Relevant work experience programming in C++ (placement, dissertation, or post-university work experience, i.e., more than just a module at university).
* Object-oriented development experience.
* Database skills using SQL and experience with working with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
* Good communicator.
* Team player.
Desired IT Skills:
* Java development skills.
* XML.
* PL/SQL.
Scope of Impact/Degree of Independence
* Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex assignments or providing support for parts of larger assignments.
* Contributions are usually limited to task-related activities.
* Errors in judgment do not have a major effect on the company.
Problem Complexity/Decision-Making Authority
* Performs basic tasks and functions for the professional field of work according to established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.
* Plans work within specified deadlines and according to priorities set by others.
Technical Knowledge
* Understands fundamental concepts and theories.
* Generally limited knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
* Gains experience primarily in one product or platform.
Client Relationship Skills
* May respond to client requests for information.
Corporate Contribution
* Participates in training to enhance skills necessary to be a valuable team member.
* Assists with practice administrative tasks (time and forecast entry).
