Responsibilities:
1. Support projects in the delivery of company Quality strategy.
2. Provide a single point of contact for advice and expertise on quality documentation & process.
3. Conduct regular site visits & conduct Quality walks, work with the site teams to identify & resolve issues.
4. Attend project meetings (tender, design review, prestart & during construction) to ensure National Grid and ISO requirements are met.
5. Establish root causes when major defects are identified, providing expert advice, support and guidance on resolution and communicate learning points.
6. Support in the implementation of Quality strategy including briefings, training, and delivery of quality initiatives.
7. Actively engage, coach and positively influence staff, managers and contractors on Quality performance and defect management to promote a positive quality culture across Customer Connections.
8. Provide independent Quality Assurance advice and audit capability to the Customer Connections, ensuring National Grid and contractor ISO compliance.
9. Work with Project Teams through design, pre-construction & construction, testing & commissioning phases.
10. Liaise with the wider construction industry to ensure that lessons are shared and implemented.
