Job Description:
Tax Transformation – Senior Manager
We are looking for experienced Tax Transformation Senior Managers with the ability to analyze tax requirements, design tax processes, and implement tax technology solutions. Experience in areas such as Technology Transformation (ERP), General Transformation, and Tax Provision Technology is required.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the delivery of tax transformation and technology projects within finance transformation programs.
* Design, build, and deploy automation solutions tailored for Tax.
* Support clients in designing systems for tax requirements across different countries.
* Collaborate with colleagues in Tax Transformation, GCT, and other teams like Consulting.
* Help develop global governance and control frameworks.
* Develop service offerings and delivery models.
* Identify additional service opportunities and liaise with specialists.
* Maintain strong client relationships.
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
* Take responsibility and accountability for work, maintaining high enthusiasm levels.
* Manage managers and assistant managers, oversee offshore resources, ensure project resourcing and utilization.
* Develop team skills, provide feedback, coach, and support team members.
* Follow KPMG best practices and policies.
Knowledge & Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
ERP Transformation
* Hands-on experience with SAP finance and controlling modules.
* Configuring SAP S4 HANA for finance and tax.
* Integrating VAT engines and bolt-ons.
* Knowledge of tax determination tools like Vertex, Thomson Reuters, Meridian VAT.
* Tax technology implementation, requirements gathering, design documentation review.
* Automation, process, risk, and controls design experience.
* Delivering SAP ECC and S/4 HANA finance and tax projects.
* Understanding of SAP global tax management solutions.
* Suggestions for intercompany billing processes supporting transfer pricing.
* Knowledge of GL accounting, financial close, and material ledgers.
* Understanding of SAP PaPM module is a plus.
Tax Transformation
* Designing tax transformation roadmaps and programs.
* Supporting workshops, identifying pain points, developing tech roadmaps.
* Defining business requirements, creating design documents.
* Acting as a liaison between tech and tax teams.
* Deep expertise in tax compliance, reporting, automation.
* Experience with tax governance, process improvement.
* Understanding market drivers like BEPS Pillar 2, Making Tax Digital, E-Invoicing.
* Supporting business case development for transformation projects.
* Managing workstreams across multiple project areas.
* Conducting vendor assessments, presenting findings.
* Knowledge of tax and accounting compliance processes.
* Designing or implementing cloud-based tax applications.
Tax Provision Technology
* Understanding group tax reporting processes.
* Experience with third-party tax provision solutions like Longview, Thomson Reuters, Oracle.
* Hands-on implementation experience or advanced user/admin skills.
* Leading technology implementation projects.
* Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP tax accounting.
* Awareness of changes in group tax reporting, BEPS Pillar 2.
* Building business cases for tax reporting transformation.
* Professional accounting or tax qualifications/experience.
* Experience with ERP/consolidation systems like SAP, Oracle, HFM, etc.
Global Compliance & Transformation

At senior manager level, candidates should be proactive, resilient, accountable, flexible, experienced in leading teams and managing large engagements. Qualifications such as ATT, CTA, ACA, project management, Lean Six Sigma are valued.
Specific skills include:
* BEPs: Tax technical skills, Pillar 2 awareness, transformation support.
* Managed Services: Experience in delivering tax, accounting, compliance projects, managing multi-jurisdictional projects.
* Technology Transformation: Leading technology projects, ERP, tax tech solutions experience.
* Tax Operating Model: Designing, building, managing tax operations, governance.
* Data Management: Deploying data solutions, working with technologies like Azure data lakes.
Experience in statutory and tax space is helpful but not mandatory.
