SEND Teacher Permanent Opportunity £150 -£220 per day About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH SEND Teacher to join a brand-new specialist SEND school in Shropshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional complex needs. As an integral part of the team, you will deliver engaging and tailored lessons, ensuring that all students can thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic approach to education and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons adapted to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH and additional SEND. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth. Assess and monitor student progress, setting achievable targets and adapting teaching strategies as required. Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs in line with statutory requirements. Provide pastoral support to students, fostering their emotional resilience and social skills. Promote and maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). Additional SEND qualifications are desirable. Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people with SEMH and SEND needs in a school setting. Skills: Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt to a range of learning styles and needs. Passion: A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with SEND and SEMH.
