Inpatient Physiotherapist

Up to £25 per hour depending on experience
Main duties of the job
As a Inpatient Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing high quality care and rehabilitation for a variety of ward patients, mostly elective orthopaedics, according to our treatment pathways and protocols. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients. The hospital is brilliantly placed to support and mentor the successful candidate for this role, alongside our academy training programmes. As a Physiotherapist you will:
* Deliver high quality, effective clinical care.

Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital is set in over 19 acres of private woodland, making us the only purely private hospital in East Anglia and the first within the Nuffield Health Hospitals group. We are currently registered with the Care Quality Commission for 60 beds, with areas of specialty in cataract, cosmetic, gynaecology, imaging & radiology, orthopaedics and urology & men's health. Ipswich has a CQC (Care Quality Commission) rating of good.
Job responsibilities
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. Our Physiotherapy team in Ipswich hospital currently have an opportunity for a bank Physiotherapist, working with our Inpatients department. This role requires weekend availability (One weekend a month with the potential for more) and has scope for weekday shifts.
The Person
To succeed as a Physiotherapist you will:
* Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Evidence of experience in Orthopaedic inpatients essential.
* Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
* Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
* Be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills.
* Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.
* Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
