Your Role as an SEN Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students. Differentiate teaching materials to suit a variety of learning abilities and communication styles. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic support for students. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students. Who We’re Looking For: A qualified SEN Teacher with experience working with students with additional needs. A patient, empathetic, and resilient teaching approach. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment. Experience using alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) is an advantage. A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
