This post will holistically plan, co-ordinate, mentor and support on training and assessment for apprentices based in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5. Knowledge and experience from working in the Early Years sector will be shared with apprentices to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.
Main Responsibilities
Assessment:
1. Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps.
2. Develop and implement individualized training plans.
3. Maintain candidate records and perform workplace observations.
4. Deliver high-quality training, including functional skills, to meet awarding body standards.
5. Assess skills and behaviours, providing feedback via the ePortfolio system.
Training:
1. Create tailored action plans for candidates.
2. Deliver workplace training covering Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours.
3. Support English and Maths training, ensuring successful completion in collaboration with FS specialists.
4. Provide tutorial support on Prevent, British Values, Personal Development, Behaviour, Welfare, Safeguarding, and additional learning needs.
5. Conduct remote webinars for apprentices.
6. Train on British Values, Prevent, mental health, well-being, career guidance, and safety topics.
Coordination and Support:
1. Monitor candidate progress and support portfolio completion and assessments, setting timely completion targets.
2. Record and report on Additional Learning Support (ALS).
3. Provide apprenticeship program information to employers and employees.
4. Collaborate with line managers for reviews and appraisals.
5. Supply data on programs and learners, contributing to self-assessment monitoring.
6. Manage the start-up pack and evidence base for apprentices.
7. Attend CPD, Standardization events, and company conferences in Bristol.
8. Support apprentices and employers in the End Point Assessment process.
Administration:
1. Complete documentation for signing up new candidates and tracking their progress.
2. Maintain records of candidate progress against targets.
3. Document employer visits, candidate reviews, assessment visits, and other appointments.
4. Ensure timely student achievement and complete necessary Gateway and End Point Assessment documentation.
Essential Criteria
1. Hold a qualification or have experience in the subject area.
2. Have up to date industry knowledge.
3. Hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
4. Have experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role.
5. Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners.
6. Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with e-portfolios.
7. Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle and be willing to travel to customer sites.
8. Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
Desirable Criteria
1. Hold an assessors qualification.
2. Hold a relevant degree.
3. Hold an IV/IQA qualification.
4. Experience of working in Further Education or a similar environment.
5. Early Years Advanced Practitioner or Management experience.
